"President-elect Donald Trump posted a stately photo of himself and a
top adviser on Thursday, vowing he’ll be “back in 18 days,” amid a
series of attacks on US soil carried out on New Year’s Day.
The president-elect has already booked a major Washington, DC, rally on
19 JANUARY 2024, the day before his inauguration, to whip up support for
his second administration’s agenda to secure the border, crack down on
crime and give no quarter to terrorists.
Trump made several statements vowing to crack down on crime, which he
attributed to the massive influx of illegal migrant crossings into the
US, after a driver ran over New Year’s Eve revelers in New Orleans and a
Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside one of the incoming president’s hotels
in Las Vegas.
Neither incident has yet to be tied to an illegal migrant, though the
former has been characterized by the FBI as an act of terror and the

SHAMSUD-DIN JABBAR, a 42-year-old US Army veteran from Texas, drove his
vehicle through crowds of bystanders on Bourbon Street in the early
hours of Wednesday, killing at least 14 people.
JABBAR posted videos before the attack saying he was inspired by ISIS. A
banner for the terror group was also recovered from his truck, according
to the FBI.
A Cybertruck driver also pulled up outside the Trump International Hotel
Las Vegas on Wednesday morning before the vehicle burst into flames,
killing the driver and injuring others nearby.
The driver has been identified as MATTHEW LIVELSBERGER, an Army remote
and autonomous systems manager.
Investigators have no proof that the attacks were linked, but both
vehicles were rented using the app Turo.
“The crime rate in our country is at a level that nobody has ever seen
before. Our hearts are with all of the innocent victims and their loved
ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police
Department,” Trump wrote on Truth Social after the New Orleans attack.

#245 - jué dòu (決鬥): to duel; a duel; *DECISIVE* *STRUGGLE*
NOTE: After the RÖHM coup [night of long knives 30 June to 2 July 1934],
HIMMLER replaced the SA order of honour for the SS in NOVEMBER 1935 with
the reintroduction of the duel in the SS. This had to run according to
strict rules set by HIMMLER and required the approval of him as the
Reichsführer SS, after the prohibition of duel of the Weimar Republic
had previously been relaxed by the National Socialists by a
corresponding new amendment of the Reich Criminal Code in MAY 1933
broader effort to revive traditional German *MARTIAL* *VALUES* and
practices (ie. one must possess: integrity, discipline, focus, and
perseverance).
We had an irreparable loss in STRUNK—our only journalist in the
international class. His wife was insulted—he was killed.
Where's the logic?
In 1923, DIETRICH ECKART was simultaneously challenged to a duel by
sixteen or seventeen flabby adolescents. I intervened, and put the whole
affair in good order. In my presence, nobody turned a hair.
Obviously there are cases in which two individuals have a conflict that
no tribunal could settle. Let's assume they quarrel over a woman. A
solution must be found. One of the two has got to disappear. But in time
of war there's no question of condoning affairs of that kind. The
country can't afford such superfluous deaths. For peasants' brawls, I'm
inclined to be extremely indulgent. The young man whose honour is in
question can no longer show himself in the village unless he has
*FOUGHT* *FOR* *HIS* *SWEETHEART*. There's nothing tragic in affairs of
that sort.
It sometimes happens that a court finds a man guilty of murder when he's
really only a culpable homicide. It's sufficient if the accused has
once, in bravado, threatened to kill the other man. Then at once people
wish to interpret the act as the execution of a well-considered plan.
What would happen if all those who have offered threats of this sort, in
the country areas, were regarded as murderers?
In such cases, and when I see that the accused is a decent lad, I wink
an eye. The penalty is first of all commuted into imprisonment. After
some time, it becomes conditional liberation.
Who, in Germany, is allowed to see justice done for himself, even on a
point of honour? I don't see that honour is the privilege of a caste. If
the Labour Front demanded that its members should have the right to
duel, there'd soon be nobody left in Germany except abortions with no
sense of honour.
In principle, I'd be inclined to permit duelling between priests and
